He First Loved Us

Valentines Day! My husband bought me a dozen beautiful red roses. He is such a blessing to me and I thank God for him continually. I am blessed to have him, to have our wonderful children.
Our day today was filled with family and love. Nice breakfast together, fellowship at church and a wonderful message. Wonderful cards from the kids ~ some made with love, some bought with thought. Lots of hugs and sweet words. Home to make food for a friend who had an accident. Dinner prepared for my hubby and the kids ~ fillet mignon, asparagus, baby potatoes and carrots, bread and pesto. A sweet homemade dessert. All done in love, served in love and with joy. Could ask for nothing more!
But the most wonderful gift of all? The love our God has for us. A love greater than all others.

Ephesians 2:4-7 (King James Version)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might.
Deuteronomy 6: 5

For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38-39
