Eric went away for a few days so Annika made him some fresh cookies for his homecoming surprise. It was her first time making them all by herself.

Worrying and Lack of Faith
Worrying . . . I really have to work on that stronghold. I tend to be a huge worrier. On Sunday Bruce spoke for a few minutes in church about worrying. I have always loved reading Matthew 6:25-34. Probably because I struggle and need to remind myself to give it to God.
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
A few of the things Bruce said that stuck in my mind most were:
~ Trust God with the details ~
~ Worrying about the future is ineffective! What good comes out of it? ~
~ Worrying shows lack of faith ~
~ Worrying keeps us from His challenges for us ~
~ Take it one day at a time ~
Praying that I can live in the moment and learn to lean on Him. He is there in all the details, He is there and He cares about us all. Tust and Obey.

The People Have Spoken
So thankful that the voters of Massachusetts (did I spell that right? lol) spoke out and elected Scott Brown! What a message it is. I pray that he stays as humble as he seems now, and continues to do the will of the people. Was thinking of his opponent and her comments about Mr. Brown. She looked down on him and his ideals, and therefore lost the votes of many hard-working citizens. Like I said tonight, "Guess there's something people like about a pick-up man."
Continue to pray for him and for our government!

Be Thankful ~ Not Blue!
Knowing I have so much to be thankful to God for, but feeling a bit blue today despite it. I have nothing to really be crabby about. I have a great husband, great kids, our health, our church, a beautiful home, daily provision and then some. I am blessed beyond measure. Yet I am crabby. Guess I have the choice to be cheerful, but it is being squelched. Praying that I can be joyful. Afterall, I am a Child of The Most High God. That alone should be enough to put some sunshine in my day.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Need to be still and "think on these things".

Snowy Day Baking
Spent part of this snowy day trying a couple of new recipes. The cupcakes are definately a new favorite!
Made these Milano cookies. Fun to try, but they weren't as good as I had hoped.
Don't these cupcakes look delicious? They are Peanut Butter Cup and they do taste like peanut butter cups. Soooo good!

White as Snow
It's a snowy day here. Everything looks so clean and fresh. Thought of this verse while watching the snow today.
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18
Let this snow be a reminder to all of us of the promise in Scriptures! All we need to do is go to Him and confess and repent. And He will wash us as white as snow! In the Psalms, David said that He will wash us even whiter than snow.

Reunion
This was on one of the Christmas cards we received this year and I just loved it. Another friend has been posting it on her Facebook, and I thought I would share it here. It is an amazing thought for all of us~ especially those who have friends and family that we don't get to see often here in our earthly lives.
**We have scheduled a reunion for our entire family on Resurrection Morning. You and your loved ones who know the Saviour are invited to this celebration, where we will forever be with the Lord! This is a reunion you won't want to miss! All expenses are paid for, be there!** (Quote by Dr. James Dobson)
Photo Fun! Coming Soon~
